Annie Bell Wood

Annie Bell Arthur Wood, age 84 of Brian Center formerly of Yadkin College died Monday, July 27, 2009 in Lexington Memorial Hospital after 2 years of declining health. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, July 30, 2009 at Forest Hill Memorial Park with Rev. Danny French officiating. Burial will follow. Mrs. Wood ,was born October 11, 1924 in Kinston, NC; to William Thomas Arthur and Nancy S. Smith Arthur. A homemaker, she was of the Methodist faith. Her husband, Howard Lester Wood, Sr. preceded her in death, February 11, 2007. Surviving are two sons, Howard L. Wood, Jr. and wife, Judy, Dale Wood and wife, Jan all of Lexington; four grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren; brothers, Albert Arthur and wife, Mary of Lowland, NC, Linwood Earl Arthur and wife Gerri of West Virginia, J. D. Arthur and wife, Jean of New Bern, NC and a sister, Daisy Sutton and husband, Martin of New Bern, NC Mrs. Wood will remain at DAVIDSON FUNERAL HOME for public viewing, however the family will receive friends at their respective homes.
