Anthony Brice Allen, 62, of Rowe Road, died Sunday, Aug. 12, 2012, at Hinkle Hospice House after several years of declining health.
A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Paul's Chapel United Church of Christ by the Rev. Dr. Dave Ambroso. There will be no formal visitation.
Mr. Allen was born May 14, 1950, in Davidson County to Boyd Brice Allen and Mittie Ethel Essick Allen. He was an employee of Conrad and Hinkle and a member of Paul's Chapel United Church of Christ. Brice loved North Davidson girls' softball and volunteered his services to the team.
Surviving in addition to his parents of Lexington are a brother, Michael Allen and wife Nanette of Winston-Salem, and nieces and nephews Lauren, Casey and Matthew.
The family would like to thank the Rev. Dr. Dave Ambroso for his ministry and prayers during Brice's illness. They would also like to thank Hospice of Davidson County, Dempsey Essick and Allan Thompson for their time shared with Brice during his illness.
