Anthony Nichols Saunders Jr., a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 10th, 2025, at the age of 77, a resident of Clemmons North Carolina. Born on October 28th, 1947, Anthony was a guiding light for all who knew him, embodying a spirit of kindness and dedication in every aspect of his life.
Anthony is survived by his devoted wife, Judy Saunders, with whom he shared a wonderful life full of love and memories. He leaves behind his cherished daughters, Karen High and her husband Richard of Lexington, and Denise Sink and her husband David of Clemmons. Anthony's legacy further extends to his adoring grandchildren: Jessica Willard and her husband Jared, Jennifer Sink, Ty High, Sydnee High, and Emma High, all of whom brought great joy to his life.
Preceding Anthony in death were his loving parents, Anthony Nichols Saunders Sr. and Louise Shelton Saunders. Their memories continued to live on through his stories and the cherished family traditions he upheld.
Anthony was a multi- time President of the North Carolina Walking Horse Association, he also took great pride in being a Mason, as well as a Shriner.
A graveside service to celebrate Anthony's life will be held on Tuesday, April 15th, 2025, at 2:00 P.M., at Friedberg Moravian Church, located at 2178 Friedberg Church Rd, Winston-Salem, NC 27127. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Anthony's kindness and humor are invited to join in honoring his remarkable life.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Friedberg Moravian Church at the address above, to support the community that held a special place in Anthony's heart.
Arrangements for the service are being handled with care and compassion by Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel. Anthony Nichols Saunders Jr. will be greatly missed, but his enduring spirit will continue to inspire all who were privileged to have known him.
