Archie Lee Bean

Archie Bean Jr., age 87, of Lexington, NC passed away on Friday, February 16, 2024, at Forsyth Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm, Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel with pastor Keith Beckner and Bryson Smiley officiating. Burial will follow at Summerville Baptist Church Cemetery, Denton, NC.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington, NC.

Mr. Bean was born February 6, 1937, in Davidson County to Archie Lee Bean Sr. and Nona Davis Bean. Archie had a love for many things, his family, spending time with his grandson Cameron. He enjoyed spending time in the mountains, playing bluegrass music with his brothers, racing at Caraway Speedway and Bowman Gray Stadium, and riding horses. He is preceded in death by his parents, former wife, Hilda Christine Bean son, Randall Scott Bean, several brothers, and sisters.

Surviving are his daughter, Jennifer Gordon (Jeremy) of Mocksville; a beloved grandson, Cameron Gordon, brothers, Billy Bean (Barbara), Johnny Bean (Barbara), sister Effie Forest.
