Archie James

Archie Bald James, 63, of Old Mill Farm Road, died unexpectedly Monday, May 14, 2007, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel, by the Rev. Doug McGee. Burial will follow in Byerly Cemetery on Phillips Road. Mr. James was born in Davidson County on Oct. 24, 1943, to Lee and Lizzie Hailey James. He farmed all of his life. Surviving are his wife, Brenda Eason James of the home; one daughter, Joan Louia and her husband, Mark, of Lexington; five brothers, Roger James and his wife, Frankie, Woodie James and his wife, Vickie, Bill James and his wife, Becky, and Mark James and his wife, Carolyn, all of Lexington, and Clifford James and his wife, Hazel, of Winston-Salem; two grandchildren, Bradley and Zach Louia; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home and other times at the home.
