Archie Lee Mcdaniel

Archie Lee McDaniel, 88, of Warfford Circle, passed away Friday, February 19, 2010, at Alston Brook. The funeral will be 4 p.m. Sunday, February 21, 2010, at Stoner’s Grove Baptist Church, with the Rev. Billy Pearson, Rev. Dr. Bill Hicks and Rev. R.N. Hardin officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m Saturday at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington, Chapel. Mr. McDaniel was born May 4, 1921, in Guilford County, to Floyd McDaniel and Roxie Money McDaniel. He was a retired machinist from Burlington Knitting. He was a member of Stoner’s Grove Baptist Church, where he was a former deacon, trustee, and chairman of the cemetery committee. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Louise Warfford McDaniel on November 22, 1992. Surviving are son, Ivey F. McDaniel and wife Susie, of Lexington; daughter, Tana Bolen and husband, Terry, of Lexington; four grandchildren, LeAnn Willis and husband Charles, Steven Bolen and wife Dania, Ivey McDaniel Jr. and wife Jamie all of Lexington, and Jason Bolen and wife Joy of Raleigh; three great-grandchildren Taryn Willis, Nathaniel and Taylor McDaniel.
