Ardene Smith Hunt

Ardene Smith Hunt, age 80, passed away on March 5, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on October 24, 1943, in Forsyth County, to Coy and Violet Smith.

Ardene dedicated her life to creating a warm and loving home as a devoted homemaker. She found joy in simple pleasures, such as spending time with her family, indulging in back porch reading, and enjoying the serenity of the beach. Ardene had a playful spirit and found excitement in internet gambling and playing bingo.

She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Coy and Violet Smith, and her loving husband, James "Jim" Ronald Hunt.

Ardene will forever be remembered and deeply missed by her son Randy Fulcher, daughter Tina Bentley (Mike), and her three adoring grandchildren, Heather (fiancé Dylan), Jonathan (Bethany), and Travis. She also leaves behind her cherished great-grandchild, Willow.

A graveside service to honor and celebrate Ardene’s life will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, March 11, 2024, at Parklawn Memorial Gardens with Pastor Jennifer Gentle officiating.  Visitation will take place from 3:00 to 5:00 pm on Sunday, March 10, 2024, at Davidson Funeral Home Hickory Tree Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Ardene’s name to your local animal shelter.
