Arlena C. Edwards

Arlena Raina Carlton Edwards, 68, of Stratford Rd., Lexington passed away Friday, July 13, 2018 at Hinkle Hospice House with her family by her side.   A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, July 16, 2018 at Fairmont Presbyterian Church with Rev. Brian Rummage officiating. Burial will follow in Clear Springs United Methodist Church in Denton.   The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Sunday, July 15, 2018 at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home.   Mrs. Edwards was born on April 8, 1950 in Davidson County to Dewey Vestal Carlton and Ruth Fritts Carlton. She was a Business Services Associate for BB & T and a member of Fairmont Presbyterian Church.  Her father preceded her in death.   Surviving are her husband, Maynard Edwards of the home; her mother, a daughter, Callie E. Warren and husband, Tony of North Wilkesboro, NC; a granddaughter, Ava Grace Warren; and a sister, Alma Ruth Carlton of Lexington.   Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Davidson County in memory of Arlena Edwards (Playground Fund), 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292 or North Carolina Chapter of the ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) Wake Forest Baptist Chapter, 131 Miller Street, Winston-Salem, NC 27157.
