Arlene Bitsolli DeSanctis

The angels peacefully took Arlene home Sunday morning to be with our heavenly family.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown. Visitation will take place after the service at the gravesite.

Arlene graduated from Julia Richman High School in New York City. After graduation, she worked as an Administrative Assistant in the Art Department at Esso, located in Rockefeller Center in Manhattan, New York.

Arlene was fiercely devoted to her family, and that love was returned with the same fierce devotion. She had the best sense of humor, and her laughter and joy were truly contagious. Her warmth, love, and wonderful spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Free from pain, Arlene now joins her parents, Ila Louise and James Bitsolli; her sisters, Jeanette Greco and Lorraine Ford; and Sylvia and Fred Wilochka.

She leaves behind her loving husband, Bill DeSanctis; her son, Chris DeSanctis; and her daughter, Regina DeSanctis.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the amazing nurses at Trellis Supportive Care for their kindness, compassion, and loving care. We also extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Betsy English, Dr. Sherwood, Audrey B., LPN, phlebotomist Ginger, and the countless others who cared for Arlene at Derrick L. Davis Cancer Center and Novant Health Specialty Pharmacy – Westgate in Winston-Salem. Your care and kindness meant so much to Arlene and her family.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Arlene’s memory to Trellis Supportive Care, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
