Arnold “Butch” Ray Grubb, 65, of Shoaf Street, Lexington died Friday, April 5, 2013 in WFBH-Lexington Medical Center after a sudden illness.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Dave Williams and Preacher Clyde Akers officiating. Burial will follow in Lexington City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home.
Mr. Grubb was born November 16, 1947 in Forsyth County to Foy David Grubb and Ruby Bauguess Grubb. He was a member of Reeds Baptist Church and a retired Supervisor for Frank IX and Sons, with 28 years of service. He was also a Bus Driver for Central Davidson School. A grandchild, Chad Newsom, preceded him in death.
Surviving are his wife, Dianne Berrier Grubb of the home; two sons, Greg Grubb, Tommy Grubb and wife, Joni both of Lexington; one grandchild, three great grandchildren; two brothers, David Grubb and wife, Louise of Linwood, Foy Grubb and wife, Joyce of Lexington and his Canine friend, Ricky.
