Mr. Arthur Donald (Art) Gray, II age 69 of Country Club Blvd, Lexington, NC died Monday, August 9 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. A Celebration of Life will be held 3pm Saturday, September 25 at First Presbyterian Church, by the Rev. Tommy Wilson. Social distancing and masks will be required. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:30pm in the church fellowship hall. Mr. Gray was born May 13, 1952 in Washington DC to Arthur Donald Gray and Laura Konkle Gray. He was a graduate of Lenoir-Rhyne College and worked at Parker Miller Jewelers for many years. He had owned and operated Art’s Place since 1997. Mr. Gray was a member of First Presbyterian Church, where he was a member of the Choir. He had been a member of the Lions Club for many years, and held many offices in the Lexington Downtown Lions Club. He was named a Melvin Jones Fellow by Lions International. He was preceded in death by his father and by a brother John Gray. He is survived by his wife, Deborah Craver Gray of the home; a daughter Carmen Gray Glenn and husband Ryan of Charleston, SC; grandchildren, Walker Glenn and Grayson Glenn; his mother Laura K Gray of Wilmington; a brother, Mark Gray and wife Lynda of Maryland; a sister-in-law Marsha Gray of Hopewell, Virginia; and a brother-in-law, Charles Craver of Lexington.
