Arthur Olin Rummage, 79, of Sink Farm Road, died Thursday, October 20, 2016, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. The funeral will be 3 p.m. Sunday, October 23, at Psalm 91 Church with the Rev. Max Shoaf officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery with Masonic Graveside Rites. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home. Mr. Rummage was born February 16, 1937, in Davie County, to Willie Arthur Rummage and Mary Lewis Smith Rummage. He was owner/operator of Olin Rummage Heating and Air Service. Mr. Rummage was a member of Tyro United Methodist Church and attended Psalm 91 Church. He was a member of Lexington Memorial Lodge #473 A.F.&A.M.. He was retired from Tyro Volunteer Fire Department and past President of Tyro Lions Club. Mr. Rummage received his burner certification from North Carolina State University. He was an avid golfer and fisherman who also enjoyed bowling and camping. Surviving are his loving wife of 59 years, Dean Farabee Rummage of the home; daughters, Kathy Gobble and husband Larry of Williamson, Ga., Layne Childs and husband Timothy, Lisa Moorefield, all of Lexington, and Jan Hawkins and husband Anthony of Winston-Salem; nine grandchildren, Elias Gobble, Lael Gobble, Larra Gobble, Ashley Floyd and husband Andrew, Chris Childs, Jason Owens, Kristen Moorefield, Jennifer Royall and husband Michael, and Lauren Ivey and husband Chris; great-grandchildren, Chason Gobble, Jacob Floyd, Erin Owens, Bradley Moon, Zachery Royall, Natalee Royall, Olivia Ivey, and Harper Ivey; and brothers, Felix Gray Rummage, Henry Roland Rummage, and WC (Bill) Rummage and wife Edythe, all of Lexington.
