Artie Lee Williams

Artie Lee Williams, 77, of Winston-Salem, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 18, 2018.   He was born May 30, 1941 in Alton, Illinois to Leroy and Hazel Cahill Williams. Mr. Williams was an honorable retired Chief Petty Officer in the US Navy for twenty years, was employed and retired from INNOSPEC as a Maintenance Machinery Manager and was a devoted member of Currytown Baptist Church.  Artie was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and son. He enjoyed woodworking, and was an avid baseball fan.  He was preceded in death by his parents. Ones left behind to honor his memory are his loving wife, Patricia Jean Williams of the home; daughters, Robin Foster (Dennis), Melodie Dawn Williams McClaugherty (John) and Theresa Lawson (Timothy); brothers, Richard Williams (Norma) and Fred Williams (Tammy); grandchildren, Joshua, Hannah, Laurel, Elizabeth, Savannah, Heather, Taylor, Jessica, Walter, Faye and Henry; great-grandchildren, Lily and Ava.  A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Monday, November 26, 2018, officiated by Pastor Michael McDaniel and Pastor Jimmy Money at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel. The family will receive friends and family one hour prior to the service from 10-11am. A 1:00pm burial is to follow the service at The National Cemetery, Salisbury, NC. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The Missions Account of Currytown Baptist Church, 7740 N. NC HWY 150, Lexington, NC 27295  Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel is serving the Williams Family. Online condolences may be made at  www.davidsonfuneralhome.com
