Auburn Cartrette

Auburn Cartrette, 74, of Prevette Road in Lexington, died Saturday September 29, 2018 at his home.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday October 2, 2018 at Gethsemane Baptist Temple, where he was a member, with Rev. Larry Michael and Rev. Keith Perkins officiating services. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Monday October 1, 2018 at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington and other times at the home.

Mr. Cartrette was born June 27, 1944 in Columbus County to Daniel Cartrette and Beaulah Soles Cartrette. Auburn was retired from Hunter Farms, and was preceded in death by his wife Allie Jean Loman Cartrette, a  son Auburn Cartrette Jr., a daughter Angela Jeanette Cartrette,  two sisters and many brothers.

Surviving are two sons; Christopher Cartrette(Belinda) and Kim Cartrette and significant other Karen English, both of Lexington; two daughters. Kaye Cartrette Watts and significant other Paul Hedrick of Thomasville and Donna Cartrette Morris and significant other Robbie Harrison of Lexington;  two brother, Sam Cartrette (Alice) of Lexington  and Ben Cartrette of Virginia;16 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren,an a special niece Ann Rockwell.
