Audrey Smith Hardin

Audrey Smith Hardin, age 84, of Alston Brook Nursing Home formerly of Marty Lane died Friday, December 11, 2009 in Alston Brook Nursing Home after an extended illness. A Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, December 13, 2009 at DAVIDSON FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL with Pastor Billy Pearson and Rev. Dr. Bill Hicks officiating. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, December 15, 2009 at National Cemetery, Salisbury. Mrs. Hardin was born December 10, 1925 in Davidson county to David Hampton Smith and Lillie Mae Trantham Smith. She graduated from Gardner-Webb College, was a homemaker and a member of Stoner’s Grove Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband, Newton R.N. Hardin of the home; sons, Randall Wayne Hardin and wife, Vicki Marie of Kingsport, TN, Lonnie Allison Hardin and wife, Laura of Rockledge, Florida; three grandchildren, Noah Hardin, Kasey Hardin both of Florida, Karley Fortier of Maine, and a great granddaughter, Lily Nicole Fortier; brother, Davey Lee Smith and wife Penelope of Lexington and a sister, Rosiland Smith Walker and husband, Joe of Lexington. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Sunday at the funeral home and other times at the home on Marty Lane. Memorials may be directed to Stoner’s Grove Baptist Church, P.O.
