Ava Lax Morgan

Ava Lax Morgan, 89, of Hillside Dr., Lexington died Monday, January 14, 2008 in Lexington Health Care after 6 months of declining health. A Celebration of Life has been changed because of weather conditions and will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, January 18, 2008 at Second Reformed United Church of Christ with Rev. Jerry Moore officiating. A private family burial will be held prior to the service. Mrs. Morgan was a retired employee of Erlanger Mills, where she worked for 35 years, was a member of Second Reformed United Church of Christ, Friendship Circle and Home Extension Club. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Henry Lax, Clifford Lax; 3 sisters, Verlie Lax, Blanche Crotts, and Myrle Walker. Surviving are the husband of 70 years, Jasper Winford Morgan, of the home; a daughter, Rhonda Wilkerson and husband, Joe of Raleigh; 2 grandsons, Jay Wilkerson and Brian Wilkerson both of Raleigh; 2 great grandsons, Henry Wilkerson and George Wilkerson both of Raleigh.
