Ava Beck Shillinglaw

Ava Beck Shillinglaw 93 of Lexington passed away Sunday July 1, 2018 at Hinkle Hospice House.   A funeral service will be 4:00 pm Thursday July 5, 2018 at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Keith Perkins and burial to follow in Lexington City Cemetery. The family will see friends from 6-8 pm Wednesday and at other times at the home of Kenneth Shillinglaw on Lamb Road.   Mrs. Shillinglaw was born July 27, 1924 in Davidson County to Reuben Hill Beck and Cordia Conrad Beck. She was a homemaker and a member of Second Presbyterian Church and The Friendly Sunday School Class. Her parents, husband of 51 years, Paul C. Shillinglaw, a daughter, Myra Shillinglaw, two sisters and two brothers all preceded her in death.   Surviving are sons: Kenneth Shillinglaw (Jimmie Carol) and Rex Shillinglaw (Donna) both   of Lexington; daughters, Jennifer L. Cross (Steve) of Ohio and Debbie J. Stapleton (Greg) of Charlotte; grandchildren, Thomas Cheffie Shillinglaw (Pam), Christopher Shillinglaw, Craig Shillinglaw (Elizabeth), Jessica Simons (Brian), Jeremy Shillinglaw (Madara), Hayley Shillinglaw Ringley and Kenneth Stapleton; great-grandchildren, Jessea Snider, Jedadiah Shillinglaw, Ashley Shillinglaw, Jonathan Shillinglaw, Brianna Shillinglaw, Danielle Shillinglaw, Matthew Shillinglaw, Sarah Shillinglaw, Addison Simons and  Alexa Simons and a great-great-grandson, Kellan Shillinglaw.   Memorials may be made to Donors Choice
