Avery William Walser, 91, of Indian Grave Road, died Saturday February 26, 2011,
at his home.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Tuesday March 1, 2011 at Shiloh United Methodist Church, where he was a member, with Rev. Sheila Bishop and Rev. Benny Clodfelter officiating services. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 Monday at Davidson Funeral Home and at other times at the home. Mr. Walser was preceded in death by his wife Mary Ruth Sink Walser.
Mr. Walser was born October 14, 1919 in Davidson County to William David Walser and Addie Berrier Walser. He was a life long farmer and a member of the J.L. Evans Sunday School Class at his church.
Surviving are two sons; Robert Walser and wife Mary, Teddy Walser and his wife Debra both of Lexington, one brother; Jiles Walser and wife Halene of Lexington, two sisters; Deedie Evans and husband N.L. and Lula Grubb both of Lexington. Three grandchildren; Madalene Wilson, Shiloh Sink and husband Stacy, both of Lexington and Marella Akridge and husband C.J. of Richmond Virginia, three gret-grandchildren; Mary Elise Wilson, Morgan Wilson, both of Cary North Carolina and Miles Johnson of Lexington.
