Avonelle Simmons Louie

Avonell Simmons Louie, 83, of Shuler Rd., Thomasville died Saturday, May 2, 2015 in Hinkle Hospice House. A private graveside service was held at 2:00 pm Sunday, May 3, 2015 at Lexington City Cemetery with Minister Janice Harris officiating. Burial will follow. Mrs. Louie was born December 17, 1931 in Surry County to John Luther Simmons and Rose Emma Sneed Simmons. She was a retired Sales Associate with Rose’s Department Store and a member of Park Place Baptist Church. Preceding her in death was her husband, Archie Layfayette Louie and a daughter, Brenda Prince. Surviving are a son, Lonnie Louie (Donna) of Stony Point, NC; three daughters, Rose Louie of Thomasville, Shari Watts (Curt) of Silver Valley, Tonya Fitzko (Danny) of Kernersville; five grandchildren, Daniel Watkins (Tammy), Brandon Louie (Britany, Kristen Louie, Tabatha Rose Billings, Austin Tyler Billings; a great grandchild, Addison Byars; a brother, Samuel Simmons (Jan) of Florida; two sisters, Verona Coppley of Lexington and Joan Everhart of Florida.
