Banks Buchanon Everhart, 93, of Turner Road, died Tuesday, October 9, 2007, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center after a one week illness.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mt. Tabor United Church of Christ, where he was a member, by the Rev. Jimmy Norred. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Banks was born March 24, 1914, in Davidson County to Charles Lee Everhart and Fannie Lopp Everhart. He spent his free time working on his farm, which is still enjoyed today by his family. Banks also worked at Thomasville Furniture Company and Lexington Furniture Industry. He was married to Nona Kennedy Everhart who preceded him in death January 28, 2000. Also preceding him in death are brothers, Grady Everhart, Harvey Everhart, John Everhart, and William A. Everhart; and sisters, Gertrude Crotts, Viola Hedrick and Sula Hanner.
Surviving is a daughter, Maxine Boyst and her husband, Gardner of Lexington; grandchildren, Adam Boyst and wife, Danika of Matthews, Jeffrey Boyst of Lexington and Lindsay Hesser and husband, Billy, of Toledo, OH.; and the newest addition to the family a great-grandchild, Caden Banks Boyst;
