Barbara Ann Aiken Hardin

Barbara Ann Aiken Hardin,76, of Lexington, passed away December 16, 2023, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Lexington.

A celebration of life service will be held Friday, January 5, 2024 at 6:00 PM at Gethsemane Baptist Church, Lexington, with a visitation one hour prior at 5:00 PM.

Barbara was born July 30, 1947, in Buncombe County, to William Lester Aiken and Juanita Mae Long Aiken. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. Barbara enjoyed working on puzzles and word search. Her passion was her family, especially her grandchildren and taking care of children. Barbara was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who will be missed by all. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Larry E. Hardin who died January 21, 2017.

Left to cherish her memories are her daughters, Lora Hardin Goodwin (Daniel) of Lexington, Leigh Ann Hardin Scarborough of Tenn. Also surviving are her 4 grandchildren.
