Barbara Jean Barber

Barbara Jean Furr Barber, of Lexington passed away Sunday morning at her home. Barbara was born in Davidson County November 23, 1944 to Horace Franklin Furr and Mary Girleta Crotts Furr. She was a former employee of Link Taylor for 20 years and a member of Freedom Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents. Surviving are: husband Ben Barber of the home, four sons; Bobby Barber and wife Cindy of Cheraw, SC, Scottie Barber and Jodey Barber and wife Amy all of Lexington and Shane Barber and Donley Lytle of Atlanta, GA, an awesome daughter, Jenny Eaton and husband David of Lexington and a daughter Kathie Davis and husband Gary of Kannapolis, three brothers; Danny Furr and wife Sarah, Leroy Furr and Sonny Furr all of Lexington. Also she had ten wonderful grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The funeral will be held at Freedom Baptist Church at 2:00 pm Tuesday (July 1, 2008) conducted by Pastor Clyde Akers. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 pm Monday night at Davidson Funeral Home.
