Barbara Monteith Conrad

Barbara Monteith Conrad passed away on November 4, 2017 at Lexington Health Care.   A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday November 7, 2017 at Holly Grove Lutheran Church Cemetery with Pastor Matthew Smith officiating.    The family will receive family and friends in the church sanctuary from 12:45 until 1:45 pm prior to the service and at other times at the home on Heath Church Road, Lexington.   Barbara was born October 19, 1938 to Buford & Vergie Monteith in Swain County, NC.  She was a medical secretary and retired from Centerclair Nursing Center.  She was a member at Holly Grove Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by her parents.   Surviving are her husband Aldean Conrad, sons Jack Conrad and wife Jeri, Jim Conrad and friend Teresa Vickers, daughter Sherry Proctor and husband Ted all of Lexington. Grandchildren:  Jonathan Proctor and friend Liz Riddle, Brandi Lomax (Randall), and Jay Proctor of Lexington, Jessica McCollum (Quan) of Winston Salem, Keeli McLamb (Brent) of Smithfield, and Chrissy Conrad and friend, Stephen Henderson of Wilmington. Great Grandchildren:  Logan, Kodi and Finn all of Lexington, Beau of Smithfield, and Camden of Winston Salem. Sister: Burnette Monteith of Lexington and her nephew Michael Willson (Kendra)  also of Lexington.   Donations may be made to Hospice of Davidson County at 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292 and Holly Grove Lutheran Church at 212 Holly Grove Lutheran Church Road, Lexington, NC 27292.
