Barbara Myers Darnell

Barbara Myers Darnell, 64, of Pine Top Road, died Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2006, at her home after an illness of 19 months. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at East End Baptist Church, where she was a member, by the Revs. Tim Gainey and Jerry Bowen. Burial will be in Forest Hill Memorial Park. Mrs. Darnell was born Oct. 20, 1941, in Dade County, Fla., to Harvey Lee Myers and Flossie Shoaf Myers. She was employed with the State Employees' Credit Union for 20 years. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Calvin Craig Myers. Surviving are her husband, William Darnell of the home; two sons, William Todd Darnell and his wife, Stacie, and Craig Shane Darnell and his friend, Shelia, all of Lexington; four grandchildren, Thomas Colt Darnell, Jessica Ann Darnell, Casey Leigh Darnell and Samuel Ashton Darnell; and one sister, Virginia Stephens. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 Wednesday at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington and other times at the home.
