Barbara "Butchie" Grimmett

Barbara Ann “Butchie” Smith Grimmett, 69, of NC Hwy 150, Lexington died Sunday, July 5, 2015 in Forsyth Medical after several years of declining health. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, July 9, 2015 at Charity Baptist Church with Pastor Brady Lowery officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home. Mrs. Grimmett was born December 5, 1945 in Davidson County to Jesse Clifton Smith and Rachel Louise Lanier Smith. She was a homemaker and a member of Charity Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband, Jimmie Dale Grimmett of the home; two sons, Dwayne Grimmett (Tonya) of Lexington, Monty Grimmett (Lauren) of Greensboro; two daughters, Sherry Powers (Jim) of Lexington, Angela Agner (Brent) of Salisbury, nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.
