Barbara Call Jarrett

Barbara Call Jarrett, a beloved member of the community and faithful servant of First Assembly of God, peacefully passed away on Monday, February 5, 2024.

A funeral service to honor and celebrate Barbara's life will be held at 2 pm on Thursday, February 8, 2024, at First Assembly of God, with Pastor Vernon Richmeier officiating. Burial will follow at Oakdale Baptist Church Cemetery in Spencer, NC. Prior to the service, the family will receive friends from 6 pm until 8 pm on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington.

Barbara was born on September 14, 1933, in Rowan County, the daughter of Oscar Charlie Call and Beulah Ridenhour Call. Her life was characterized by her unwavering faith and devotion to her family. She was a cherished mother, sister, and grandmother, known for her kindness, compassion, and gentle spirit. Throughout her life, she exemplified the values of love, generosity, and selflessness. In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Lacy Lee Jarrett; her son, Gary Lee Jarrett; her brothers, Charles Call, Richard Call, Jack Call, and Curtis Call; and her grandson, Joseph Jarrett. Although she has departed from this world, her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving son, Mark Kendall Jarrett, and his wife Vickie; daughter-in-law, Linda Jarrett, her devoted sister, Bertie Snyder; her grandchildren, Christa Crews (Joshua), Tabitha Cassada (Rev. Eugene), Amanda Walters, and Elizabeth Shell; thirteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild on the way.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to First Assembly of God, Project Love Fund at PO Box 921, Lexington, NC 27293.

Davidson Funeral Home is deeply honored to be serving the Jarrett family during this difficult time. Barbara's legacy of love and faith will forever be remembered and cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
