Barbara Jones

Barbara Harper Jones, 81, formerly of W. Old Highway 64, died Saturday, December 14, 2013 at Lexington Health Care in Lexington after an extended illness. A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday, December 18 at Forest Hill Memorial Park by Pastor Mark Rachels. The family will see friends Tuesday night from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and at other times at the home of the daughter on Swicegood Rd. Mrs. Jones was born May 28, 1932 in Davidson County to Hulin Doster Harper and Kathleen Weaver Harper. She retired from Stanley Furniture and was a member of Journey Church. Her husband, Ralph Arlen Jones, preceded her in death. Surviving are her son, Russell Jones and wife, Angela, of Lexington; her daughters, Teresa Jones Davis and husband, Doug, and Sharon Jones Kimbrell and husband, James, both of Lexington; her brothers, Neil Harper and wife, Nova, and Kim Harper and wife, Lavenia, both of Lexington; her grandchildren, Scott Thornburg, Jamie Waddell and husband, Daniel, Lisa Wolfe and husband, Josh, Matt Jones and Alex Springer; and her great-grandchildren, Tristan House, Curtis Waddell, and Rylin Wolfe.
