Barbara Mason

Barbara Newton Mason, 91, a resident of Lexington, passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2022 in Kate B Reynolds Hospice in Winston-Salem. Barbara was born in Emanuel County, GA on September 8, 1930 to the late Robert and Oris Kemp Newton. She worked in the accounting department for Billings Trucking Company until her retirement. Barbara was an active member of Jersey Baptist Church in Lexington where she was on several church committees. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ted Coatland Mason, a brother, Fred B Newton; and a sister, Linda Newton May.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 6, 2022 at 3:00PM in Jersey Baptist Church. The family will greet friends prior to the service beginning at 2:00PM.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kate B Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103. Davidson Funeral Home of Lexington is assisting the family.

Barbara is survived by her children, Ted Damon Mason (Kellie) of Greenville, SC and Karen Mason of Asheboro; five grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
