Barbara Boner Nance

Barbara Boner Nance age 74 of Welcome Arcadia Road passed away Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at Lexington Health Care. A celebration of life will be at 3:00 PM, Friday, August 13, 2010 at First Baptist Church of Welcome with the Rev. Mark Blair presiding. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel from 6 to 8 PM on Thursday, August 12, 2010. Our loving, precious wife, mother, nana, sister, aunt and friend has taken the Lord’s hand and entered into eternity with him. Barbara, will be greeted at Heaven’s Gate by her parents; Ulysses and Lillie Boner; her grandson Christian Jace Leonard as well as an abundance of other family and friends that have passed before her. Those who will keep her memory alive in our hearts include her loving husband of 50 years, Charles G. Nance; her grateful children Steven Wayne Nance, Susan Yvonne Nance Leonard both of Lexington; her treasured grandbabies, Kody, Kasey, Kalie Rae and Amanda Leonard (Brock), Bobbie Jo Leonard Smith (Chris); great- grandbabies, Tyler & CJ. Barbara’s brother John W. Boner (Rebecca) of Winston-Salem; niece Laurie Olsen (Randy), their children Tyler and Zackary; nephew Michael Williams (Kristal) and daughter Kaitlyn as well as numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins. Barbara will be missed by many. Some special life long friends include Charlie and Linda Nifong. Their daughter Jana Eanes who Barbara loved as her own. Also, Larry and Judy Yarbrough and their children Sharon, Carol Ann and Christina. Barbara endued many struggles in her adult life. Through it all she remained steadfast in her faithfulness to God and to her family. Her life is a testimony that will encourage us all.
