Barbara Macphelemy Olson

Barbara Louise MacPhelemy Bows Olson 97, a resident of Mallard Ridge Assisted Living Clemmons, NC and formerly of Abington Massachusetts, and Zephyrhills, Florida went to be with her Lord on January 24, 2021.

Barbara was born in Abington Massachusetts to Harold and Vera Blanchard MacPhelemy in 1923.  She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Albin G. Olson, a sister Mildred E. Young, her brother John A. MacPhelemy and one niece Jane MacPhelemy Tilley, and her stepson Alan Olson, all of Abington Massachusetts.

Barbara has two sons, Sgt. Ray Bows (Pia) and Ronald Bows (Jan) both of Florida and one daughter Donna Bows Muraco (John) and one stepdaughter Jacqueline Whitten.

She leaves her seven grandchildren Scott Bows (Tara), Sherry Elliott (Vance), Jeff Bows (Darnae), Kevin Bows (Natalie), Jennifer Muraco, Lori Jean Bows Demers (Rob) and Keith Bows (Heather). Donald Whitten and Kirsten Garneau (Edward).  She leaves her beloved great-grandchildren Kelsey Wrain Bows and Kiri Wrain Bows, Cicely Campbell, Harper and Scarlet Bows, Madison Westcott, James and Julia Demers, Amelia Bows and Jenna and Johnathan Whitten and Corey Garneau and D.J. Bows.

A special thanks goes out to her sister Phyllis Schlager and her nieces Judy and Susan Young, and her special friends Valerie Bows and Paula Bows.

Many thanks to those who have cared for her at Mallard Ridge and thanks to the Hospice of Yadkin County for the thoughtful end-of-life care.
