Born on March 28, 1943, in Pulaski, Virginia, Barbara was the daughter of Clarence Earl Hagee and Mary Smith Hagee. She spent her life serving others through education, ministry, music, and her unwavering faith.

Barbara married the love of her life on June 25, 1965, and together they built a life centered on family and Christian service. From 1983 to 1986, she taught Health Occupations at Central Davidson High School, where she inspired and encouraged many students through her dedication and compassion. A faithful servant of the Lord, Barbara devoted more than four decades of ministry to her church family. From 1985 until 2026, she faithfully served as Associate Pastor, Youth Leader, and Music Director. Her love for worship, teaching, and mentoring touched countless lives and left a lasting impact on all who knew her.

Barbara was preceded in death by her father Earl Hagee, mother Mary Hagee, and her sister, Judy Taylor, who passed away in July 2021.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, William C O’Neal; her son, Sean O'Neal; her sister, Dreama Phillips; and her brother, Roger Hagee, along with numerous extended family members, church family, and friends who were blessed by her life and ministry.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Davidson Funeral Home.
