Barbara Pressley Miller, 71, of Brian Center, formerly of Goodluck Drive, died Saturday morning, Nov. 4, 2006, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, by the Rev. Clyde Akers. Burial will be in Forest Hill Memorial Park.
Mrs. Miller was born in Davidson County Jan. 22, 1935, to Perry Guy Pressley and Claudia Hufton Pressley. She was a former employee of Young-Hinkle Furniture, a retired beautician and a member of Wayside Baptist Tabernacle. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Howard "Shorty" Miller on Feb. 11, 2000; and a brother Paul Pressley.
Surviving are three sons, Tony Miller and his wife, Donna, of Winston-Salem, Gerald Miller of Salisbury and Randy Miller of Lexington; three grandchildren, Leann Fishel and her husband, Brandon, Brent Miller and Jordan Miller; one great-grandchild, Blake Fishel; six brothers, Roy, David, James, Kent and Donnie Pressley, all of Lexington, and Eddie Pressley of Anchorage, Ala.; and four sisters, Mary Potts, Kathy Snider, Bonnie Jones and Carolyn McEwen, all of Lexington.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 Monday at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, and other times at the home of her son, Tony, at 253 Mallard View Lane, Winston-Salem.
