Barbara Proctor

Barbara Smith Proctor, 87, formerly Twin Acres Dr., passed away April 4, 2022 at Piedmont Crossing. A memorial service will be held at 2pm Sunday, April 10 at the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel, by the Rev. Kirk Tutterow. A private inurnment will be held. The family will receive friends following the memorial service. Mrs. Proctor born July 16, 1934 in Davidson County to J. Frank Smith, Sr. and Betty Russell Smith. She attended Marjorie Webster College and St. Mary’s College. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and the Charity League of Lexington. Her husband, Sidney E. Proctor, Jr., preceded her in death, as well as her brother, John Frank Smith Jr. and sisters, Norah Ogburn and Betty Necaise Surviving are her sons, Sid E. Proctor III (Miranda) of Clemmons, Jeff S. Proctor (Linda) of Apex, and Tad B. Proctor (Julie) of Lexington; her sister, Libby Sutherland; her grandchildren; Eric Proctor (Katie), Emily Proctor Merrill (Grayson), Brandon Proctor, Jordan Proctor, Chase Proctor, and Reid Proctor; and her great grandchildren, Owen and Addie Proctor, Arianna Proctor and Graham, Connor, and Alice Merrill. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, 310 S. Main St, Lexington NC 27292.
