Barbara Duncan Spry

Barbara Sue Duncan Spry, age 74 of Genesis Healthcare in Salisbury, formerly of Old Salisbury Road, Linwood passed away Friday afternoon at Rowan Medical Center. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday at Greer’s Chapel United Methodist Church where she was a member, with Revs. Renee Easter and Lori Anne Bowen officiating. The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall following the service. Barbara was born in Rowan county June 18, 1939 to Gordon L. and Nora Spoon Duncan. She was a former employee of Golden Age Nursing Home. Preceded in death by her parents; husband Bobby Wesley Spry in 2010. Surviving are; daughters, Debra Calhoun (Darrell) of Lexington and Barbara Jean Goodman (Pat of Linwood; sons, Kenneth Spry (Johnna) of Charlotte and Bobby Spry, Jr. of Lexington; 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
