Barbara Wrenn, 70, of Lexington, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, December 28, 2022.
Mrs. Wrenn was born January 1, 1952, to Vonnie Lee Robbins and Silvin Palmer Robbins. She battled cancer for many years. She was an active member of Sheets Memorial Baptist Church. She served the Lord in many ways. She believed John 14:6, that Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Light. Barbara was a teacher. Barbara taught with Lexington City Schools, retired as a teacher with Davidson County Schools and went on to teach at Sheets Memorial Christian School. She made a positive impact on the lives of her students. She loved helping others. Barbara was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was known as “Nana” to her grandchildren. She enjoyed taking them to special places and spending time with them. She was a caregiver and took wonderful care of those around her. Barbara will be remembered as a godly woman, a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Surviving is her husband of 50 years, Garland Wrenn; one son, Jeremy Wrenn; two daughters, Melissa, and Michelle Tysinger; her son-in-law, Scott Tysinger; one sister, Doris; and four grandchildren, Seth, Cheyenne, Emma, and Bethany.
Arrangements: The family will receive friends at 1:00pm on Saturday, December 31, 2022 at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington, NC. The funeral service will follow at 2:00pm with Dr. Jeremy Benbrooks officiating and Reverend Frankie Matthews. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.
