Barry Alan Cole

Barry Alan Cole, 41, of Old Mountain Road, died Wednesday, November 9, 2011, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday, November 12, 2011, at Davidson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the home of his mother and stepfather. Mr. Cole was born October 10, 1970, in Rowan County, to Ray Allen Cole and Shirley Griffin Cole Mayerle. He was a self employed brick mason and a member of the Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his father. Surviving are his wife, Melissa Estep of Lexington; stepdaughters, Nevada and Jordan; his mother, Shirley and stepfather, Fred Mayerle, of Lexington; sister, Tammy Cole Smith of Raleigh; stepbrother, David Mayerle and friend, Regina, of Tyro; stepsisters, Linda Mayerle Miller and husband, Daniel and Amy Mayerle Finney and husband, Victor, all of Lexington; and nieces and nephews, Erin, Gray, Lauren, Matthew and Zachary.
