Barry Scott Harmon

Barry Scott Harmon age 49, of Oakridge Drive, Lexington died suddenly Saturday morning at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem. A funeral service will be held 11 am Tuesday, July 29, 2008 at First Baptist Church in Welcome where he was a member, conducted by the Rev Mark Blair and Rev Jonathan Goodman, burial will follow in First Baptist Church cemetery. Barry was born June 19, 1959 in Pittsylvania County, Va. to Henry Noel and Billie Anne Lowe Harmon who preceded him in death. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son Christopher Scott Harmon, who died February 13, 2003. He was a Telecom Measurement Specialist with Williams Natural Gas Company and was a volunteer with the youth group at First Baptist. Barry is survived by his wife Daphne Pickral Harmon of the home, a daughter Teenia Darlene Harmon also of the home; one brother Henry Wayne Harmon and his wife Tia of Chatham Va. and a sister Dana Sparks and her husband Stanley of Danville Va. The family will receive friends 6-8 pm Monday July 28, at Davidson Funeral Home Hickory Tree chapel and other times at the home.
