Barry Stephen Pope

Barry S. Pope, age 60 of the Tyro area, Lexington passed away Sunday night February 26, 2012 at Rowan Regional Medical Center.  Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday March 1, 2012 at Tyro United Methodist Church with Rev. Randy Foster officiating.  Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery.   The family will greet friends in the church Sanctuary from 1:00 until 2:00 pm prior to service.   Barry was born in Davidson County, March 31, 1951 to Alvin Pope and Louise Leonard Pope. He was preceded in death by his sister, Myra Pope Young in 2011.   Barry was survived by his wife, Marie Hopkins Pope of the home; son, Kyle Wilson and wife Angie of Sumter, SC; granddaughter, Jillian Marie Wilson; father and mother, Alvin and Louise Pope of Welcome.   Online condolences may be made at www.davidsonfuneralhome.net
