Beatrice Craft

Beatrice Burkhart Craft, 80, of Allred Road, died Friday, August 27, 2010, at Hinkle Hospice House following several yeas of declining health. A private service will be held. Mrs. Craft was born September 8, 1929, in Davidson County, to William Edgar Burkhart and Ollie Mae Younts Burkhart. She was a member of Hedrick’s Grove United Church of Christ. In addition to his parents she was preceded in death by her husband, David Lee Craft; and brothers, Max Burkhart and Bruce Burkhart. Surviving are son, Stephen Craft of the home; daughter, Susan Craft Wilson and husband, Brian; grandchildren, Scott Nelson and Matthew Wilson; and great-grandchildren, Hunter Nelson and Gracie Nelson. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hedrick’s Grove United Church of Christ, 3840 Allred Road, Lexington, NC 27292; or Hospice of Davidson County, Hinkle Hospice House, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292.
