Beatrice Snow Whicker

Beatrice Snow Whicker 82 of Winston-Salem passed away Friday, March 17, 2017 In The Family Home. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, March 24, 2017 at Canaan United Methodist Church, 1760 Shady Grove Church Road, Winston-Salem, NC with Rev. Doug Miller officiating.    A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 PM Thursday at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Road and other times at the home of Queen Bea.   Beatrice was born in Surry County on August 12, 1934 to Merritt Glenn Snow and Zereta Phillips Snow.  She previously worked at Hanes Hosiery and Western Electric and retired from Bell South and was a member of Canaan United Methodist Church.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Jay Erastus Whicker; son, Timothy Jay Whicker, a brother Bruce Snow and a grandson Chad Everhart.   Surviving are daughters, Shirley Everhart (Rod) of Lexington, Debbie Hedrick (Kelly) of Lexington, Rhonda Whicker (Jolley) of Winston-Salem; one brother, Darrell Snow of Kernersville; six grandchildren, Shane Everhart (Stacie), Brenn Hedrick (Nickie), Rusty Everhart, Brandon Hedrick (Jen), Brandy Whicker, Matthew Jolley and eleven great-grandchildren.   Memorials may be made to Canaan United Methodist Church Building Fund, 1760 Shady Grove Church Rd., Winston-Salem, NC  27107.
