Beaufort Hunt, age 86 of Will Hunt Road, Lexington passed away Tuesday night at his home.
Funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday, April 12 at Reeds United Methodist Church with the Rev. Duncan Martin officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 3:00 pm in the church fellowship hall prior to the service.
Beaufort was born in Davidson County on July 6, 1927 to George William Hunt and Myrtle Farabee Hunt. He served in the US Army and later retired from Frank Ix. He was a member of Reeds United Methodist Church. His wife, Willie Mae Forrest Hunt; his brothers, Hoyle Hunt, Eugene Hunt, and Henry Hunt; his sisters, Virginia Blaylock, Geneva Leonard, and Marjorie Michael; and his granddaughter, Jaclyn Hunt, preceded him in death.
He is survived by his son, Jack Hunt (Ann) of Fuquay-Varina; his daughter, Theresa Wilson (Walter) of Lexington; his brother, William Hunt, of Virginia Beach, VA; his sisters, Louise Hartley, Norma Berry, and Iva Hutchins, all of Lexington; his grandchildren, Brian Wilson, Julie Hunt, Brandi Wilson, Jonathan Hunt, and Emily Hunt; and his great grandchildren, Chance Hunt, and Sarah Jane Denny-Wilson.
