Belinda Ann Sink Thompson,76, of Lexington passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on April 28, 2022, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Born on June 17, 1945, in Davidson County, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Vann Sink and Evelyn Shoaf Sink. A service to celebrate her life will be Saturday April 30, at 1:00 pm in the Family Life Center of Bethesda United Methodist Church where she was a member, conducted by, Pastor Rick LeBaube. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive family and friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Belinda graduated from North Davidson High School and retired from the Davidson County Clerk of Court office after working there for more than 30 years. Belinda enjoyed spending time with her family and many special friends throughout her life. She also enjoyed reading, shopping, planting flowers, working the polls during elections, and occasionally working auctions. One of her greatest joys in life was being a grandma to her granddaughter Madison. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two brothers, Joey Sink and Ronnie Sink. Surviving are her husband of 57 years, Gary Lee Thompson of the home. Daughters Ginger Thompson and Kim Thompson Smith and one granddaughter, Madison Smith. She is also survived by special sisters-in-law, a brother-in-law, a niece, nephews, great nephews, and many cousins. The family is especially grateful for the love and devotion provided by Hospice of Davidson County, the Life Center of Davidson County and three incredible caregivers.
