Ben Johnson, age 83 of Lexington, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2021 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center Lexington.

Funeral services for Ben and his wife, Janice, will be held at 11 am Tuesday from the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Glenn Dusina.  The service will be live streamed at www.facebook.com/davidson.funeralhome .  Burials will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park with military honors. Family will see friends from 10:00 to 11:00 before the service.

Ben was born on May, 21, 1938 in Wheelwright, Kentucky to Talt Johnson and Arnie Hall Johnson. He was the retired owner and operator of Dusina Pizza in Welcome and a member of Grace Community Fellowship. His life was family and faith in God and he loved serving people. Ben’s joy was watching and pulling for Kentucky Basketball. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Janice Sue Dusina Johnson, who died September 8, 2021, and his daughter, Tracey Grasser.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving daughters, Kim Hunt (Rusty) of La Grange, and Kandi Tackett (Collie) of Lexington; his grandchildren, Joshua, Whitney, Jonathan, Jotham, Jana and Madison, his  great-grandchildren; his brothers, Donald Johnson, Ronnie Johnson, and Roger Johnson, all of Kentucky; and his sister, Wilma McKay of Concord.

In lieu of flowers, memorial may be directed to Grace Community Fellowship 464 N County Home Rd., Lexington, NC 27292
