Ben Frank Patton

Ben Frank Patton, 84, of Bethesda Road, Welcome, died Thursday, May 4, 2006. A memorial service will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel. Mr. Patton was born May 10, 1921, in Dodge County, Ga., to William Henry Patton and Carrie Weeks Patton. He was retired from McLean Trucking, a member of First Baptist Church of Welcome and a World War II veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents and many brothers and sisters. Surviving are his wife, Peggy Livingston Patton of the home; one daughter, Robyn Patton Schultz of Welcome; three sons, Tommy Goins of Siler City, Terry Goins of California and Jeff Patton and his wife, Angela, of King; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
