Benjamin David Lemly

Benjamin David Lemly, 82, of Avenue I, died Tuesday night, Jan. 22, 2008, at Lexington Memorial Hospital. Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Macedonia United Methodist Church cemetery by the Rev. Max Shoaf. Mr. Lemly was born in Davidson County on March 9, 1925, to Gibon Luther Lemly and Lillian Catherine Wafford Lemly. He was a retired employee of Carolina Finishing. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Fannie Lillian Reed Lemly; brothers Jim, Bill, Ward, and Bud Lemly; and a sister, Mary Lemly. Surviving are a son, Terry Lemly and his wife, Bonnie, of Lexington; granddaughters Betty Garcia and Frances Lemly, both of Lexington; a stepson, Henry Bailey and his wife, Betty, of Lexington; step-grandchildren Willie, Jackie, Danny and Steven Bailey; all of Lexington; and seven step-great-grandchildren. There will be no visitation.
