Benny Von Crotts

Benny Von Crotts 81 passed away Monday, July 1, 2013 at his home. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at Midway United Methodist Church where he was a member with the Revs. John C. Woods, Jr. and C. M. Worthy officiating. A reception is to follow in the Christian Life Center for all family and friends and other times at the home. Benny was born in Davidson County on October 2, 1931 to Henry Ward Beecher Crotts and Gladys Leonard Crotts. He was founder, retired owner operator along with his wife Lorraine of the Furniture Barn in Midway for 31 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Archie Crotts and a sister Sybil Gray. He is survived by his wife Lorraine Hill Crotts of the home; three sons, Perry Crotts (Sherry) of Lexington, Stephen Von Crotts and Kim Crotts both of Midway; a sister, Jean Hiatt (Joe) of Thomasville; five grandchildren, Seth Crotts (Beth), Nathan Crotts, Rachael Crotts, Olivia Crotts, Landon Crotts and one great grandchild, Summer Crotts. A special thanks to our many friends, church family, his breakfast group at Cagney’s and Hospice of Davidson County. Memorials may be made to Midway United Methodist Church, Building Fund, 9795 Old Hwy 52 S., Lexington, NC 27295 and Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292.
