Bernice Leonard

Bernice Starbuck Leonard, 78, of Lexington Health Care, formerly of Westdale Avenue, died Wednesday, March 15, 2006, at Lexington Health Care. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Trinity United Methodist Church, where she was a member, by the Revs. Tim Starbuck and Myra Ward. Burial will be in Lexington City Cemetery. Mrs. Leonard was born Aug. 7, 1927, in Davidson County to Oliver James Starbuck and Beatrice Tesh Starbuck. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Leonard was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Lee Leonard Jr., on May 17, 1991; and a brother, James Starbuck, on Sept. 26, 2005. Surviving are her daughter, Susan L. Medlin and her husband, Dan, of Lexington, and two brothers, Wayne Starbuck and Ronnie Starbuck, both of Lexington. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. before the service at the church and other times at the home of Maxine Medlin, 124 Commanche Trail, Lexington. The family is grateful for the great care given to Mrs. Leonard by the staff of Lexington Health Care.
