Bernie Brown

Bernie Brown, 54, of Rhodes Rd., Lexington passed away on Friday, October 12, 2018 at his home.  A  Memorial service  will be held at 4:00 pm on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at Holloways Baptist Church with Dr. Dana Slack officiating.   The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 4:00 pm on Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2018 at the church just prior to the service.   Mr. Brown was born March 19, 1964 in Davidson County to William Edward Brown and Christina Everhart Brown. He retired from Davidson County Schools as an electrician and HVAC mechanic after 30 years of service and was a member of Holloways Baptist Church. Preceding him in death was his parents and a sister and a brother-in-law, Gayle Bowman and her husband, Larry Bowman.   Surviving are his wife, Tammy Gordon Brown of the home; a son, Ben Brown and his fiancée, Katelyn Glosson of Lexington; a daughter, Breana Gwyn (Brandon) of Thomasville; three grandchildren, Irelynn Gwyn, Caelin Gwyn, Nathaniel Gwyn; a brother, Eddy Brown (Vickie) of Winston-Salem; and a sister, Cindy Owens (David) of Linwood.   Memorials may be directed to Holloways Baptist Church, 131 Briggs Rd., Lexington, NC 27292  or to Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation, 735 Third Ave., New York, NY 10017.       Online condolences may be made at www.davidsonfuneralhome.net
