Bernie Ardell Weaver

Bernie Ardell Weaver Sr., 82, of Lexington, NC died Saturday, January 1, 2022.

A funeral service will be held at 2 pm, Friday, January 7, 2022, at Good Hope United Methodist Church with Rev. William Jarrett officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 pm Thursday at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington, NC.

Mr. Bernie Weaver was born November 13, 1939, in Davidson County to Bernie Baxter Weaver and Zellie Sparks Weaver. Bernie retired from Thomas Bus and was a member of Good Hope UMC. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Frances Elaine Hege Weaver, brother Charles “Pat” Weaver.

Surviving are his son; Bernie Weaver Jr., daughters; Sherri Shoaf (Kerry), Debbie Pickett (Joey), sisters; Daphne Shore, Juanita Myers (Druid), Shirley Haltom; four grandchildren, Nicole Wilgus (Cody), Tricia Yokeley, Zachary Pickett, Jesse Shoaf; five great grandchildren, Landon Yokeley, Tatum Pickett, Tegan Pickett, Ava Wilgus and Wyatt Wilgus.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to; Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292.

Family is being served by Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington.
