Bertha Peters Tucker

Bertha Carter Peters Tucker, 86, of Piedmont Crossing, died Sunday, December 29, 2013, at Hinkle Hospice House, following a period of declining health.   Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday in the Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel with Rev. Gavin Pratt officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 until 2:00 pm, prior to the service.   Born in Davie County, November 1, 1927 to James Tilden and Lola Ridenhour Carter. She was a member of North Lexington Baptist Church and retired from Linwood Furniture. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roger Peters; sisters, Annie Moore and Gladys Tysinger; brothers, Roy, Bill, June, Donnie and Ollie Carter.   Bertha is survived by her daughter, Regina Beck (Tim) of Lexington; grandchildren, Heather Lynn Beck and Emily Ann Beck; sister, Kaye Prevette (Len) of Lexington; brother, Lewis Carter of Clemmons.   In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Hinkle Hospice House, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292 or to Piedmont Crossing, 100 Hedrick Drive, Thomasville, NC  27360.     Online Condolences may be made at www.davidsonfuneralhome.net
